Mexico capped off their 5th consecutive CONCACAF U17 Tournament win against the USMNT, winning 3-1 in Guatemala this past weekend. The streak started back in 2015 and will continue until the 2025 tournament. Sounds great but as with all things Mexican Soccer, its more complicated once you start digging.Continue reading

As Twitter slowly deteriorates into a timeline of shitty promoted tweets and the same 3 ads, I think its time to look at other platforms to keep building the #LigaMXEng community. After being member of a couple different servers, I think Discord can be the answer.Continue reading

Mexico’s Manager Search Begins
Friend of the blog, Joshua takes a look at the latest rumors surrounding Mexico’s next coach….
As the dust settles on Mexico’s failed attempts to get out of their World Cup group, and the wishes of many vocal fans of seeing Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino sacked has come to fruition, the focus naturally has moved on to who the replacement will be. Ever the demanding job, with the intense media scrutiny, the list of candidates with decent qualifications wanting to take the job is likely to be short. Still, a few names have popped up already.Continue reading
Where Does Mexico Go From Here?
In my last blog post, I focused on how things are never as good or bad as many fans think they are for El Tri. While I still subscribe to that thinking, the future is very cloudy for the National team. Unless the FMF start planning with an eye towards 2026, Mexico will be embarrassed on home soil. But I don’t think things are as bad as many are making them out to be for El Tri. Mexico’s World Cup Kits
The 2018 World Cup is here and what better time than now to look back at Mexico’s previous World Cup kits. I recap El Tri’s kits since the 1994 World Cup and give you my favorite memory at each World Cup. I do try to avoid the traumatic ones but no promises.
Adidas Release Away Kit & Rest of Mexico World Cup Collection
Earlier this summer, Adidas released El Tri’s home kit for the World Cup but held back on the rest of the collection ie away kit, anthem jacket. Well, they showed everything off this morning and early reviews suggest they killed it.Continue reading
Help: Starting Winger Needed
For a team short on creativity, losing Jesus Corona is definitely a blow for Mexico. The Sevilla winger suffered a fractured fibula earlier this week and reports point to a recovery time of 4-5 months. Seeing as Mexico opens their World Cup against Poland in 3 months, Tata will need to find a replacement to start.Continue reading
El Tri Returns To Their Roots
In a shock to no one, Adidas decided to give us a green jersey for the upcoming World Cup. It will also be the first jersey to feature the new crest. The old crest will always hold a special place in my heart but the new one has grown on me since it was announced. As it with all their World Cup kits, Adidas is using their new logo as well. So, there’s a lot going on in this kit. How did it turn out?Continue reading
