Todo Sobre Camisetas and FootyHeadlines have a great track record of leaking kits from all around the world. I believe they even leaked Mexico’s 2018 World Cup jerseys in January 2017. Even with all that evidence, I am praying to the kit gods they are wrong with this leak.

Both are reporting a rumor that has this pegged as Mexico’s HOME kit. It will go with their white AWAY kit as El Tri’s kit options going forward during World Cup Qualifying.

My thoughts on this kit as Mexico’s “home” kit? Not a fan. As a 3rd kit? Sure. Mexico is a big enough seller for Adidas that they warrant a 3rd kit during busy years. When I saw the leak earlier today, I was hoping it was a training kit but the latest info is pointing to it being their primary kit. I just cannot get on board with that. Call me old school but Mexico’s home jersey should feature green or at the very least, colors from the Mexican flag. Is it a cool looking kit? Yeah and I hope someone renders the kit with Green instead of Pink, I bet that would have looked great and been more traditional.

What happened to Adidas and their big “Ponte La Verde” marketing campaign? I guess they will bring it back when they go back to using Mexico’s traditional colors on their next kit. Hopefully, they don’t use a template of a kit Mexico lost to at a World Cup like they did for the 2018 World Cup.
