Todo Sobre Camisetas and FootyHeadlines have a great track record of leaking kits from all around the world. I believe they even leaked Mexico’s 2018 World Cup jerseys in January 2017. Even with all that evidence, I am praying to the kit gods they are wrong with this leak.

The Worm
This week saw the release of Episodes 3 and 4 of The Last Dance AKA the Dennis Rodman and Phil Jackson Episodes. Anytime Dennis is involved, there is bound to be some shenanigans. His episode did not fail to deliver and I loved how the episode ended. While Phil’s episode gave you insight in how Phil managed players and why players loved playing for him.

Yes, you can hear the theme music
With no sports to keep us entertained, I’m sure we have all dipped into the deep cuts of the many streaming services we all subscribe to. There’s only so many times you can re-watch “Tiger King.” Luckily, The Last Dance is helping but waiting a whole week to watch the next episode has become a foreign feeling for most of us. To help fill those hours in between work Zoom meetings and Trump giving out incorrect medical advice, I’ll try to give you suggestions on what to binge next. First up is the Spider-Man cartoons from the 90s. It first premiered in the fall of 1994 and is currently available on Disney Plus.
After a couple years of anticipation, ESPN’s 10 part series on the 1997-1998 Chicago Bulls has arrived. It was moved up to April after being originally set to air during the NBA Finals. All I have to say is: thank you. There has been no new sports content in weeks and what better way to end the drought than with the greatest NBA dynasty. Am I biased? Of course. Like Obama, I was also a resident of Chicago during this run. I remember watching MJ’s fadeaways, Pippen’s dunks, Phil whistling from the bench and of course, Rodman’s color changing cups from McDonalds. I had high hopes when this documentary series was announced. Did it deliver?

This is as close to sports as we’ll get for a few months. Hopefully I am not throwing away the next 3 hours of my life watching this. Read along to see if any of the matches are worth watching.

Walter Franco and I discuss the business of soccer. Our main topics are Chicharito moving to MLS, Chivas TV situation, and what foreign leagues are doing in the US. We also dip our toes into the FMF/SUM relationship at the end of the episode.
Everyone’s favorite Little Pea is leaving Europe and coming to MLS. Of course the transfer to a “lesser” league will disappoint many but I’m taking a different approach.

Raul Jimenez had a bumpy start to his European career. It started with him receiving just 4 league starts in his first season with Atletico Madrid and scoring 1 goal. His estimated $12m transfer seemed like a bust for the Spanish giants. He was sent to Benfica and experienced some success but was never fully trusted to lead the line for the Portuguese giants. Jimenez never started more for than 8 league games or saw more than 1,000 league minutes in any of his 3 seasons in Portugal. Although he did reach double digit goal totals in 2 out of the 3 seasons, he wanted more responsibility than being a super sub. A Mexican striker in Europe in wanting to be more than a super sub, sound familiar?
