Last gameday in La Liga and it comes with high stakes for one Mexican Abroad….
Weekend Schedule
7/17/2020
Sporting Kansas City vs Colorado Rapids (8pm ET): Not sure how close Alan Pulido is to the Mexican National team but what else are you going to watch.
7/18/2020
LA Galaxy vs LAFC (10:30pm ET): No Carlos Vela but Javier Hernandez aka Chicharito is still around. “El Trafico” will not feel the same without Carlitos but it should be fun to watch.
7/19/2020
Real Valladolid vs Real Betis (12:30pm ET): Betis players (and new manager) are playing for next season already. They are floundering but cannot get relegated. The future for Andres Guardado and Diego Lainez is unknown but I hope Lainez gets some minutes in the season finales. At this point, I don’t care if those minutes are to show other teams or his new manager that he can play.
Napoli vs Udinese (1:30pm ET): A Europa League spot is still in play for Hirving Lozano. A mid-week start for Chucky saw him play 61 good minutes for Gatusso with 4 completed dribbles and 3 shots. Ojala Gatusso is starting to warm up to Chucky.
Atletico Madrid vs Real Sociedad (3pm ET): Hector Herrera and company do not have much to play for as they are locked into a Champions League Group Stage spot regardless of the result. Maybe Cholo can throw us a bone and let HH get his 12th league start.
Celta Vigo vs Espanyol (3pm ET): Nestor Araujo could be relegated after this weekend but his squad controls their own destiny. Their opponent is already getting relegated and Celta are 1 point above Leganes who are playing league champions, Real Madrid. Also, Celta Vigo own a better goal difference than Leganes, in case they end up equal on points. Mucha suerte Nestor!
