The German league starts this weekend and more importantly, so does the Cyprus league. The Mexicans Abroad calendar is getting a little bit crowded. Let’s see whats going on this weekend.

Kickoffs are in Central Timezone
  • Marco Fabian seems destined for the Turkish league. Just a matter of which club, Besiktas or Fenerbahce. Expect him to watch Salcedo and the rest of Eintracht Frankfurt take on Freiburg from home.
  • He joined the squad late but Govea should be on the bench this weekend for his new club, Royal Antwerp.
  • Wolves are expected to compete for a European spot this season and will face their biggest test so far. Raul has played every minute for them this season and I expect him to do the same against City. Set pieces should play a big part in this matchup and Wolves will try to put the ball on Raul’s head.
  • Not sure if Diego is trolling us but here is his latest tweet.

  • WhoScored has Antonio Briseno as the 15th highest rated defender in the league. This doesn’t include his strong showing in their cup game either. People are starting to talk about him as worthy of a national team call up. That might be too soon but eyes are on him to continue his strong play.
  • PSV won 3-2 against BATE in the first leg of the UCL Playoff. That Lozano guy chipped in with a goal. With the return game midweek, they might rest certain players this weekend.
  • Joao Maleck should be with the U20 squad in September.
