W2W4: Belgium vs Mexico
Mexico take on Belgium in Brussels on Friday. It’s a rare “away” game for El Tri who like to play their friendlies in the US. Some say friendlies don’t matter and to a certain extent that will always be the case since they’re not part of an official tournament but how you play in friendlies does matter. With that in mind, here are a couple of things I will be watching for in Friday’s friendly.

TCK Podcast Episode 22: Mexicans Abroad Recap & Osorio’s Roster Decisions
After a long hiatus, The Colorful Kit Podcast has returned with a 2hr episode. Jon Arnold joined the pod for the first time and brought with him tons of CONCACAF knowledge. We covered a few different topics in depth and it was one of my favorite podcast episodes to be a part of.

El Tri rarely leave the friendly and lucrative confines of the US for friendlies and this will present Osorio with a good chance to see his squad against top teams. The base for his 2018 squad should be clear but there are still spots up for grabs and it would be a good idea to give some players a chance to play. With the squad announced, let’s see if Osorio had any surprises up his sleeves….

Key Passes: 11/2/17
Here are today’s Key Passes. A little later than usual but still just as good. I know the goal above happened in a U17 game but it is one of my favorite goals scored. His club career is kinda of stalled but Julio Gomez aka La Momia will always have this goal.

Mexico’s World Cup 2018 kits leaked all the way back in January but they have not been officially announced. The latest leaked of official images likely mean an announcement from Adidas is not too far off.
