The last weekend of club soccer before the International Break is upon us.

• Expect Hirving Lozano to see some minutes as Napoli badly need 3 points to keep up in the race for a Champions League spot. That game will be on ESPN+.
• Before Diego Lainez tested positive for COVID last month, he was in the midst of the most playing time he’s received in Europe. The Club America product has as many starts this season as he did in his first 2 years in Spain. My hope is he gets at least 1 start during the upcoming friendlies.
• Good luck to Nestor Araujo and his fellow defenders against Real Madrid. I would like the pairing of him and Edson Alvarez at CB to get a look during Mexico’s upcoming friendlies.
• My only gripe with Tata’s callups is the absence of Omar Govea. He has been really good in Belgium and should be involved with Mexico this summer but it seems Tata went with Jonathan dos Santos, who is still in pre-season.
