Mexico

  • Copa MX Results: America, Atlante, and Monterrey advanced. Pachuca take on Tijuana on 11/8.
  • Gerardo Torrado has officially retired from soccer. He will now link up with the National Team and become the Sporting Director.
  • In 2007, World Soccer magazine had 2 Mexicans in their “Top 50 Most Exciting Teenage Footballers.” One of them was in the top 5…

Mexicans Abroad

  • HH had a great game against RB Leipzig. He finished w/the second highest WhoScored rating in the game and scored his 4th Champions League goal.
  • Tecatito had a strong game as well but had more of an effect on the defensive end. Corona had 2 tackles, 3 interceptions and consistently tracked back to help out his defenders.
  • Another goal for Maleck in Porto’s UEFA Youth League game versus RB Leipzig puts him at 8 goals scored in 12 games or 1 every 116 minutes.
  • Paolo Medina started at right back for Benfica versus Manchester United in their UEFA Youth League match. He has gone 90 minutes in all 7 games he has played.
  • Hirving Lozano is having a break out season at PSV. Tom Marshall updates us on Chucky’s great season at PSV and good form for El Tri.
  • Hector Herrera is tied for 3rd in Champions League goals by a Mexican.
