Uli Davila signing with a 1st div team in Portugal

A packed weekend of club soccer is upon us. If you are ever looking for game times, check out our schedule page on the site.  We will update that page with more games aka we are waiting to see if anyone moves in this transfer window.

Check below for notes on this weekend’s games.

FRIDAY

Twente v Heracles- 1:00PM- He already cracked my top 10 but Tecatito needs to keep improving to stay in the top 25 rankings.  Here is his chance to keep building on his best pro season to date.

SATURDAY

Real Madrid v Cordoba – 9:00AM-  An easy game against a newly promoted side generally means squad rotation but Carlo Ancelotti has not been to keen on that this season. I still bet Chicharito sneaks in a start here.

Watford vs Blackpool- 9:00AM- The great Layun Experiment continues. He has been solid for Watford so far as they try to get promoted into the EPL.

PSV v Cambuur- 11:30AM- There is a chance this loan might turn into something more for Guardado.

Atletico Madrid v Rayo Vallecano – 1:00PM- A game featuring 2 down and out compadres.

Real Sociedad v Eibar- 3:00PM- Carlos Vela’s team finds themselves in 12th place right now. David Moyes is counting on Carlitos to lead them up the standings.

Villarreal v Levante- 3:00PM- Someone should tell Gio this is a Copa del Rey game and maybe he will have a great game. Jona was rested in midweek and is ready for another 90 minute outing.

SUNDAY

Hellas Verona v Atalanta- 8:00AM- Death, taxes, and Rafa Marquez starting in central defense for Hellas Verona.

Malaga v Athletic Bilbao- 10:00AM-  Paco Memo Ochoa will not be playing this weekend. Look for him in Malaga’s midweek  Copa del Rey match.

Vitoria v Rio Ave- 10:00AM- Uli Davila has joined Vitoria in hopes of jump starting his stagnating club career. But he still has an eye towards the national team…

Espanyol v Almeria- 12:00PM-  Every game Hector Moreno plays for Espanyol could be his last. It seems Arsenal is targeting a CB from Dos Santos FC aka Villarreal instead of making a move for Moreno. It remains to be seen if Espanyol receive a legit offer for Moreno.

FC Porto v Maritimo- 12:00PM- Look for Herrera to be in his usual spot in the starting XI. As for Diego Reyes…
